Sherraine MacKay

Sherraine MacKay (born 1976 at Brooks, Alberta) is a top-ranked Canadian Olympic fencer, World Cup medal winner, elementary school teacher and author.

MacKay has earned the best ever results for any Canadian woman fencer at the World Championships (6th), the Olympic Games (18th at the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens) and is a four-time medallist at the Pan American Games.

MacKay defended Mairuth Sarsfield's novel No Crystal Stair in Canada Reads 2005.

MacKay published a memoir, Running With Swords, in 2005.

MacKay is currently married to musician Geordie MacKay, who will release his first album in April 2006.
