Sherpur Sadar is located at 25.0000° N 90.0167° E . It has 80091 units of house hold and total area 360.01 km².

As of 1991 Bangladesh census^GRBangladeh, Sherpur Sadar has a population of 381419. Males constitute are 51.58% of the population, and females 48.42%. This Upazila's eighteen up population is 189019.
