Sherm Cohen born 1965[1][2], is an American storyboard artist. In the past, he has worked for Nickelodeon. He has worked on Ren and Stimpy (as a character layout artist), Hey Arnold (as storyboard artist and director) and SpongeBob SquarePants as a writer, storyboard artist and director [3]. He also served as Storyboard Supervisor during seasons 2,3 and 4 of SpongeBob SquarePants. Sherm was lead storyboard artist and one of the character designers on The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie[4].
After SpongeBob's fourth season, Sherm left Nickelodeon to write and illustrate his first book for Walter Foster Publications, "Cartooning: Designing Characters" [5]. [1] After spending two seasons writing and drawing boards on My Gym Partner is a Monkey, Sherm is currently writing and drawing storyboards on the forthcoming TV series, Phineas and Ferb at Walt Disney Studios, which coincidentally is created by his former Nickelodeon co-workers Dan Povenmire and Jeff "Swampy" Marsh.
