Sherlock Holmes and the Leading Lady (1992 TV film)

Sherlock Holmes and the Leading Lady was the first of two TV films made in late-1990 under the banner Sherlock Holmes the Golden Years. It featured Christopher Lee and Patrick MacNee as Sherlock Holmes and Doctor Watson as elderly gentlemen getting involved with Balkan terrorists and meeting again with "The Woman" the actress and leading lady Irene Adler played by Morgan Fairchild. The film also featured a number of historical characters involved in the plot including Eliot Ness and Sigmund Freud. It was shot back to back with Incident at Victoria Falls. Both were released in the next two years and there were drastically edited versions released on video. No further films were made. The full versions are now available on DVD.
