Sherko Haji-Rasouli

Sherko Haji-Rasouli(born September 1st, 1980 in Shiraz, Iran) is an offensive lineman for the B.C. Lions of the CFL. He currently wears the number 55, is 6'6 tall and weighs 326 lbs. Haji-Rasouli went to the University of Miami in Florida. While playing for the Miami Hurricanes, he was selected to the All-Big East team twice. The Montreal Alouettes selected Haji-Rasouli in the 2002 CFL Draft(2nd round, 12th overall). In 2003, he suffered a season-ending injury, limiting him to just 1 game. In 2004, Haji-Rasouli played all 18 games in his final seson in Montreal. The Lions signed him as a free agent prior to the 2005 season. In 2005, Haji-Rasouli played 16 games as B.C.'s #1 backup offensive lineman. He moved into the starting position(started 5 games) when Jamal Powell got injured. Haji-Rasouli caught 1 pass for 3 yards on August 19, 2005 versus the Hamilton Tiger-Cats. In 2006, he played most of the season as a backup but got some starts when Kelly Bates got injured.
