Sherig-ool Oorzhak

Sherig-ool Dizizhikovich Oorzhak (born July 24, 1942) has been the President of the Republic of Tuva since April 11, 1992. From 1990 to 1992 was Chairman of the Council of Ministers (i.e Prime Minister) of Tuva ASSR. He is currently serving his third five-year term, having been reelected last on March 17, 2002 with 53% of the vote.
On September 12, 2001, Oorzhak expressed his sympathy for the United States after the World Trade Center attacks. [1]
