Sheridan Smith (born 25 June 1981 in Epworth, North Lincolnshire) is an English actress.
She is perhaps best known for playing Janet Smith/Keogh in the BBC sitcom Two Pints of Lager and a Packet of Crisps. In Two Pints, Janet is the girlfriend and eventual wife of Jonny Keogh, played by Ralf Little. Little and Smith also previously played boyfriend and girlfriend in The Royle Family, as the characters Anthony Royle and Emma Kavanagh: the Kavanaghs were considerably posher than the Royles.
Smith played Cleo Martin in Love Soup and also appeared as Michelle, a hypocritical nutritionist, in the sitcom Grownups - the first time she has played the lead character in a TV series. The series first aired on 7 May 2006 on BBC Three. She has also appeared in the Lenny Henry Show as M.E. Westmocott, a role spoofing the various medical examiners on CSI.
Smith plays companion Lucie Miller alongside Paul McGann's Eighth Doctor in a new radio series of Doctor Who, produced by Big Finish and transmitted on BBC 7 from New Year's Eve 2006; she will also play Audrey in the stage production of Little Shop of Horrors at The Menier Chocolate Factory, London, from November 2006.
