Sheree Rose is a prominent member of the BDSM scene, filmmaker, photographer, and performance artist. She was the wife of performance artist Bob Flanagan, who died in 1996 of cystic fibrosis. Rose's photography has been exhibited at the Jeu de Paume in Paris and the National Art Museum in Munich. She starred alongside her husband in the biographical documentary film SICK: The Life & Death of Bob Flanagan, Supermasochist which chronicled the last year of his life.
