Sher Singh

Sher Singh, (Born: December 1807 - Died: 1843) was a Sikh ruler of the sovereign country of Punjab and the Sikh Empire. He was the son of Maharaja Ranjit Singh. He became Maharaja in 1841 after the death Nau Nihal Singh who was his nephew. After courageuosly resisting the British forces, he was betrayed by his own. He was assassinated by political enemy factions at the royal court. This was one of the leading causes of the end of the Sikh Empire.
