Shepherd's Bush station is a railway station under construction on the West London Line in Shepherd's Bush. It is expected to open in summer 2007[citation needed]. It will provide an interchange with the nearby Central line station of the same name.

The third station in the area named Shepherd's Bush, on the Hammersmith & City Line, is some distance away, so to avoid confusion it will be renamed "Shepherd's Bush Market" in 2008[1]. The Central Line station is also due to be rebuilt, integrating it further with the railway station.

There was a previous station very close to this site, Uxbridge Road, but this closed in 1940.

The three-letter station code SPB and location code 9587 have begun to appear in ticketing systems, although times and fares to and from Shepherds Bush have not yet been published.[citation needed]
