Shenfield High School is a state school in Shenfield, Essex.

From years 7-9 boys and girls are taught in separate classes. Last year 90% of people got over a C grade in GCSE, whereas 95% of sixth formers passed their exams.[citation needed] The school is run by the headteacher, John Fairhurst, who has been at the school for over 10 years. Shenfield has a very wide recongnition for its sporting achivements. Recently, the U-15s boys basketball team were announced as the best in the country. The school has also recently been awarded a grade 2(good) ofsted report after a surprise inspection.

Grounds - The school has a large playground and 11 acres of fields including rugby and football posts. The school has recently opened a new iblock with over 100 modern computer facilities. The school also has 2 gyms open to the public and an indoor swimming pool.
