Shenay Perry

Shenay Perry (born July 6, 1984 in Washington, D.C.) is a professional female tennis player from the United States.

Her father was a firefighter when she was growing up and now teaches tennis full-time. He was her first coach. When Shenay was 11, her family moved to Florida so that she could train at the famous tennis academies there.

She began her professional career in 2004 in Auckland, where she reached the quarterfinals with a win over Virginia Ruano Pascual. At the 2006 French Open, Perry reached the third round.

Perry was the only American to reach the 2006 Wimbledon Championship round of sixteen. She was the last American to be eliminated.
