Sheldon Kinser

Sheldon Kinser (December 9, 1944 - August 1, 1988), was an American racecar driver.
Born in Bloomington, Indiana, Kinser, also died there in 1988, succumbing to cancer. He was a 3 time USAC Sprint car Series Champion in 1977, 1981 and 1982. He also drove in the USAC and CART Championship Car series. He raced in the 1975-1981 seasons, with 38 combined career starts, including the Indianapolis 500 each year but 1980. He finished in the top ten 11 times, with his best finish in 3rd position in 1979 at College Station.
Sheldon was the cousin of Steve Kinser, the twenty time World of Outlaws sprintcar champion.
