Sheldon Independent School District is a public school district in Sheldon, Texas, within the unincorporated area of eastern Harris County, Texas (USA) which is part of Houston–Sugar Land–Baytown metropolitan area.

Sheldon Independent School District consists of a high school, middle school, intermediate school, four elementary schools, and an early childhood center. A few of the schools share the names Sheldon and C. E. King.

  • C. E. King High School (9-12)

Named after Cortes Ewing King, a Houston developer who donated land to the district. Opened 2006.

Opened 1974.

Named for a former administrator L.E. Monahan. Opened 1983.

  • Royalwood Elementary School grades: 1-5

Royalwood Elementary opened 1968.

  • Sheldon Elementary School grades: 1-5

Sheldon Elementary, built 1957.

  • H.M. Carroll Elementary School grades: 1-5

Recently opened.
