Sheikhpura District is one of the thirty-seven districts of Bihar state, India, and Sheikhpura town is the administrative headquarters of this district. Sheikhpura district is a part of Munger Division.

Shiekhpura in mounts of big area cover one mount on one largest temple were Purnamanci fair in July month is organised which is a big festival. This place is rich in mountains,so it has a good business of stone-crushing. It is the place where you can enjoy a tamtam (Horse cart)as a medium of transportation even in these days. These tamtams has overridden auto rickshaw and man pulled rickshaw even in these days.These tamtams are cheap and more environmental friendly than other modes of transportation.
