Sheffield College

Sheffield College is a further education college in Sheffield, England. It was formed by the merger of 6 colleges. The main centres are Castle College (in the city centre), Hillsborough College (which replaced Loxley College in Stannington, and Parson Cross College) and Norton College. Norton College also includes the Peaks Centre.
Skills for Business[1] is the commercial training arm of the Sheffield College. Skills for Business provides professional and career development courses as well as providing real-time, responsive industry training to meet the needs of both individuals and business. There are two Skills for Business centres; Hillsborough Barracks and the Source, Meadowhall.
The Sheffield College has a strong reputation in the field of online learning, primarily in the field of professional development in the skills and knowledge needed for developing and delivering online and blending learning in education. It is also expert in English online, offering courses at GCSE and AS/A2. It continually grows its online programme, for example from September 2006 Psychology GCSE was offered.

Sheffield College Students' Union is a rapidly expanding organisation representing the interests of all students at Sheffield College. Members of the Union can get involved in it through events and elections organised by their Local College Union Committees and Union Executive Committee.
Sheffield College Students' Union is affiliated to the National Union of Students. Kat Fletcher, President of the National Union of Students 2004 - 2006, is a former General Secretary of Sheffield College Students' Union.
