"She's a Superstar" was the second song ever released by the then-psychedelic British band, The Verve. The song is, like all of the other songs released by the band around this time, very drug-related, both sonically and lyrically. The B-side to this song, "Feel," was also drug-related.
A music video was shot for this song in Thor's Cave, Staffordshire; this was the same cave pictured on the front of Verve's album A Storm in Heaven. The edited version (at just over 5 minutes) appears on the band's greatest hits album, This is Music: The Singles 92-98.
