[edit] Eccles College
Would you mind popping back to that article and reconsidering your AfD. Looking at the edit history it was a straightforward matter to revert back to a non abusive and non childish version of the article, and i think we are now considering a very different beast.
I am not of the "Every school is sacred" lobby, but it is generally held that places of secondary education are notable and should be present. In the light of this you may choose at your own discretion to withdraw the nomination. Fiddle Faddle 15:26, 27 September 2006 (UTC)
- just so you know, my talk page has a reply for you. I must make the banner at the head clearer in case people do not spot it :) Fiddle Faddle 19:38, 27 September 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Closing AFD
If you wish to withdraw a nomination you should make a note in the discussion stating you are withdrawing it, rather than removing from the log, since this leaves it floating around in limbo until somebody spots it. In addition, stating you are withdrawing doesn't necessarily mean the nomination will be closed, as others may have objections. Cheers, Yomanganitalk 16:23, 27 September 2006 (UTC)
- I'd just leave it out of the log now (as I think you've decided to do anyway), just bear it in mind next time. Yomanganitalk 19:32, 27 September 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Orphaned fair use image (Image:BLUManga.gif)
Thanks for uploading Image:BLUManga.gif. I notice the 'image' page currently specifies that the image is unlicensed for use on Wikipedia and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Fritz Saalfeld (Talk) 13:35, 26 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Yagyu Shingan-ryu article
Hello.
I noticed you reverted the changes made by user 81.165.161.211 (I'm not him/her by the way), whose changes was to add the ū. and ō macron in japanese names found in the article, such as ryū or heihō. That article is a member of the "WikiProject Martial Arts", and the project states that "Follow the conventions in Wikipedia:Manual of Style (Japan-related articles). For articles that are about a ryū, capitalize the proper name part and add the suffix -ryu. For example, "Tennen Rishin-ryu". Do not use macrons (ū ō) or hats (û ô) in article titles, but do use macrons in article text (for example: "Tennen Rishin-ryū") at least when the word in question is not a proper English loanword."
So unless I'm mistaken the article is supposed to contain ū in "Yagyū Shingan-ryū" (and all other japanese words) with the exception of the article title. If I am mistaken then I wouldnt mind being corrected so I know what the deal is :-) Fred26 16:27, 17 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Ocelot
I'm not too pro at Wikipedia. But, you send me a message when I was not logged-in. So, it went to an IP instead of this username. Anyways, I removed Ocelot from the examples list on the Endangered Species article. You sent me a warning message. However, if you check the Ocelot article I states that Ocelot have been recently reclassified as LC - Leazst Concern. On the Ocelot article, this information is cited. I'm not sure how to send a message, so here you go. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Zpowers (talk • contribs) 20:22, 2 February 2007 (UTC).
[edit] Me? VANDAL!?
You say I have vandalized the Powerpuff Girls article? You're kidding me, right? I have done my best for weeks now to improve the article, and helped protect it from vandalism (such as the sensless destruction of the article made by a self-proclaimed Powerpuff Girls hater).
Im not sure which of my edits you are refering to when you say i have vandalised the article, but if you are talking about my most recent one, where i edited the "awards" section, then let me tell you; it was NOT vandalism in any way. I simply took a sentence written with terrible grammar and made it more readable, plus added some information on a few awards that had not been mentioned yet. 90.224.189.88 22:17, 5 April 2007 (UTC)
