[edit] Shilpa Shetty

Hey Shakirfan, just giving you a heads-up - The Shilpa Shetty article could probably do with a spring-clean as she is reported to be appearing on Celebrity Big Brother 2007 soon. I've cleaned it already as best as I could, including references and stuff, but these thigns always need expansion. I'll be keeping a heads-up in the media also for reliable info to go in this article. Hope you're well. Ekantik talk 03:55, 31 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] re:screenshots

Hiya, well I use a programme called snag it, which makes things a lot easier, but you dont have to have that. If you are watching an episode on your PC, or have a video clip for example, press pause and then press the PRT SCR button, which should be on the top row of keys on your keyboard. This will capture the exact image of your pc screen in its entirety. If you then want to crop the image to get rid of the windows bars or make the image more precise, then you add it to a programme like photoshop and trim the image (if you have snag it you dont need to do this as you can select exact portions you want to capture from the start) and then save it to your pc.

You may have problems with hardware acceleration depending on the programme you use to watch the episodes with (realplayer and media player have this problem). You know when this happens because when you save the capture to your pc, all you get is a blank black screen and no image. To fix this problem right click anywhere on your desk top and then select properties option. When the box opens select the settings option, then select advanced, then troubleshoot - then move the hardware acceleration bar all the way down to none - click apply and ok. You should then be able to take captures without getting the black screen. When you've finished put the acceleration bar back to full again. If you still have problems in these players (in windows media player for instance, some files wont play when there is no hardware acceleration and you only get sound) then I would recommend downlaoding a media player called VLC media player. It's free and really good for taking captures as you can slow down the clips at several varying speeds.

Is this what you wanted to know? or were you wondering where i get the episodes from? Gungadin 17:42, 1 February 2007 (UTC)

My pleasure, hope it helps :) Gungadin 17:48, 1 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Image:Bhumika Chawala.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Bhumika Chawala.jpg. I notice the 'image' page specifies that the image is being used under fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first fair use criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed image could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information. If you believe this image is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the image description page and edit it to add {{Replaceable fair use disputed}}, without deleting the original Replaceable fair use template.
  2. On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace the fair use image by finding a freely licensed image of its subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or a similar) image under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our fair use criteria. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that any fair use images which are replaceable by free-licensed alternatives will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Yamla 16:44, 3 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Recent edit to Deaths in 2007

Hello. Thank you for your recent edit to Deaths in 2007. Your edit included one or more links to the page Indian, which is a disambiguation page. This type of page is intended to direct users to more specific topics. Ordinarily we try to avoid creating links to disambiguation pages, since it is preferable to link directly to the specific topic relevant to the context. You can help Wikipedia by revising the links you added to Deaths in 2007 to refer directly to the most relevant topic. [edit] Upen Patel

Why are actors who have appeared in Bollywood films in the category "Indian actors"? English in actors in Hollywood films aren't listed as "American actors"? If he's British, then he's a British actor. The British Asian cat. is fine, I siuppose (though pesonally i find that sort of thing pointlessly divisive). --Mel Etitis (Talk) 20:41, 15 February 2007 (UTC)

You have removed a large section from Nutan, but did not use an edit summary to justify your deletion. I am assuming good faith and not vandalism, but I reverted the edit and ask that you please use an edit summary if you remove more. Thanks!--Xnuala 02:58, 13 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Summaries

Hello. Please don't forget to provide an edit summary. Thanks, and happy editing.

--Mel Etitis (Talk) 23:17, 14 March 2007 (UTC)

When editing an article on Wikipedia there is a small field labeled "Edit summary" under the main edit-box. It looks like this:

Edit summary text box

The text written here will appear on the Recent changes page, in the page revision history, on the diff page, and in the watchlists of users who are watching that article. See m:Help:Edit summary for full information on this feature.

Filling in the edit summary field greatly helps your fellow contributors in understanding what you changed, so please always fill in the edit summary field, especially for big edits or when you are making subtle but important changes, like changing dates or numbers. Thank you. --Mel Etitis (Talk) 21:12, 23 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Shilpa Shetty

I doubt the film Dus (1997) should be included in the final filmography table per WP:FILMOGRAPHY, however either:

  • The article can be put up for deletion
  • Or be mentioned in the text for her Film career.
