[edit] Brooks, Brooks & Dunn, and VandalProof

I see that you used VandalProof to rvv Brooks & Dunn, but what happened was the edit got copied into Brooks by mistake. I suspect that VandalProof choked on the ampersand. If you concur, would you please notify the developer? Thanks! — Shadowhillway 22:50, 28 April 2006 (UTC)

Wow. I'll report it to AmiDaniel; thanks for the heads up! — Rebelguys2 talk 22:52, 28 April 2006 (UTC)
It's already been reported, actually; the next version of VandalProof will revert vandalism like this correctly. — Rebelguys2 talk 22:54, 28 April 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Brad Fiedel

Hey, thanks for the heads-up about my revisions to the Brad Fiedel page. I am actually the copyright holder of the information I previously posted - the information comes directly from my own website, Movie Music UK, which I have maintained and edited for almost 10 years. Is there anything I can do to ensure this kind of thing doesn't happen again? I don't want to spend all this time writing film music composer articles on here, only for someone to delete them and tell me I'm infringing my own copyright! --JonBroxton 08:33, 6 May 2006 (UTC)

Very very sorry! What happened was the wording of the Wikipedia article and your Web page were exactly the same, (mis)leading me to believe that someone had just copied verbatim from a 3rd party site. I was completely oblivious to your name at the bottom of your Web site. My apologies.
In order to prevent mistakes like mine, I would suggest the following. In the "Edit summary" box on article edit pages, write something like:
expanded article using content from my Web site Movie Music UK. I am the copyright owner and give permission for the material to be included in Wikipedia.
So when other editors look at their watchlists and notice that you've made a change to an article, they will see this edit summary and realize that the edit is legit.
It may also be helpful to note on your user page that you film composers is one of your areas of interest and that will you will be contributing your own material to WP which originates from your Web site. Enjoy! — Shadowhillway 13:56, 6 May 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Comics Code Authority

Hi. As a compromise, I've rv to original size just one of the three images you reduced, giving my reasons in the edit summary. I hope this compromise is acceptable and workable. Thanks, -- Tenebrae 15:00, 12 October 2006 (UTC)

No problem here! • Shadowhillway 02:20, 13 October 2006 (UTC)
