[edit] Shadowbot blacklist request page

This page is to be used to report links being inserted into Wikipedia by spammers. Links on this page will be reviewed by Shadow1 to determine if they should be added to Shadowbot's auto-revert spam blacklist. Please note that Shadowbot's blacklist is normally used only if a link is being spammed only on the English Wikipedia and is relatively-short term (basically, if it doesn't qualify for the Spam blacklist) or if a Meta admin is unavailable.

[edit] Adding entries to this page

If you're certain a link needs to be blacklisted, use the following template to generate an entry:

Example:

*{{subst:User:Shadowbot/request|link=example.com|spammer=Shadow1}}

produces:

Inserted by User:Shadow1
Link search: Special:Linksearch/example.com

Make sure that you leave off the http:// prefix from the link, and the User: from the spammer's username/IP address.

The freshswing.com spammer is back, but they used the IP address to avoid the regex ;-) Carl Lindberg 05:56, 22 March 2007 (UTC)
