Shaun Newton (born November 16, 1988 in Camberwell, London) is an English/Jamiacan footballer whose favoured position is as an attacking Forward . He currently plays for Juventus
Newton started his career at West Ham United, making his debut as a 16 year old in the Carling Cup. Before his first team debut Newton was a regular for the West Ham Youth Academy scoring 33 goals in just 25 appearences, leading the young Hammers to the Youth Premier Division title.
Newton moved from West Ham to Barcelona in March 2005 for an initial fee of £1,000,000 (Although West Ham never seemed to profit from this sale) and made an immediate impact by scoring in the 2-1 victory over Malaga. Newton went on to enjoy a reasonably successful season with the Catalans before falling out of favour after several spats with management
On July 19, 2006, Newton joined recently relegated Juventus on a Free Transfer. Since joining Newton has scored 5 goals in 9 starts for Juve which has helped them to the top fo Seria B
