Shatoy

Shatoy (Russian: Шато́й) is a village in the Chechen Republic, Russia. It is the administrative center of Shatoysky District. Population: 1,771 (2002 Census); It is the home village of underground rebel President Doku Umarov and a stronghold of the Chechen resistance. Geographical location: 42°52′N 45°41′E[citation needed].
