Shashi Bhushan Sahai

Mr. Shashi Bhushan Sahai was born in Arrah, the head quarters of erstwhile Shahabad district (now Bhojpur) of Bihar, Shashi Bhushan Sahai began his career as a college lecturer in Economics in 1950. He joined the IPS in 1952 and rose to be the Director General of Police. He has two sons, Mr. Sanjay Sahai and Mr. Shikhar Sahai. A prolific writer, he has authored the following books which have been widely acclaimed: (1) Politics of Corruption: The Goddess that Failed-1995 (2) India: Twilight At Midday-1997 (3) South Asia: From Freedom to terrorism-1998 (4) The Alien Of Fakeland, a work of fiction published in London-2001 (5) Jihadi Terrorism: Making of a World War?-2006

He is leading a quiet life at his home 'Sanctuary' in Patna (Bihar) and continues to write.
