[edit] Club career
Naraji currently plays for Sheffield United F.C in the English Premier League.
Naraji started his career at Iranian Giants Esteghlal FC where he caught the eye of Italian outfit Torino F.C. and enjoyed 3 months of valuable experience with the serie B club, before being loaned out for one season to Real Zaragoza where he played for the 'B' Team .
In July 2005, Naraji went for a trial at Sheffield United F.C. and impressed Neil Warnock enough to land a one-year contract with Warnock saying : "He's another young, exciting player we would like to look at for a long period".
Unfortuantely, other than a handful of appearances because of a devastating knee ligament injury, Naraji failed to break into the first team. Warnock showed his faith in Naraji by holding onto him until the end of the 06/07 FA Premier League season where Sheffield United are newly promoted. However Naraji`s knee injury re-occured in his first game back which meant another season on the sidelines. A clip of this injury can be viewed on You Tube.
[edit] International career
Naraji played for Iran national football team at U20 level, Naraji's dream of making the Iranian Squad for the 2006 FIFA World Cup was in tatters after he suffered a bad knee ligament injury, although it had been said that IRIFF had been keeping tabs on him before hand to check his progress.
