Shareeka Epps

Shareeka Epps (born c. 1989) is an American actress. Epps was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York. She starred in the Oscar-nominated 2006 film Half Nelson, alongside Ryan Gosling. The film was based on the low budget, short film Gowanus, Brooklyn, in which she also starred alongside Matt Kerr. For Half Nelson, she won the Gotham Award for Breakthrough Performance and was named Best Supporting Actress by the Boston Society of Film Critics and the Independent Spirit Awards. She was also nominated for Best Supporting Actress by the Broadcast Film Critics Association. She currently resides in Binghamton, New York, where she is a senior at Binghamton High School. In 2007, she will appear in the Noah Buschel film Neal Cassady, as well as Alien vs. Predator 2.
