One of Dawood Ibrahim’s top aides, Sharad Shetty alias Anna, was shot dead at an Indian club in Karama, Dubai by rival Chhota Rajan henchmen on 19 January 2003.

Sharad Shetty was known to control a vast majority of cricket betting in the Asian sub-continent.
