In Sharad, days are hot and nights are getting colder & colder. And, it creates doshic disturbances in our body. And, hence Sharad ritu ( season ) is called as `Mother of All Diseases' in Ayurveda.
In Sharad ritu , pitta vitiates due to hot days and kaph develops due to cold nights. Hence, food taken should be such so as to passify pitta. In this season pitta and kaph related diseases develops like cough & cold, fever and skin related diseases aggravates due to such climate.
