Shane Told

Shane Told is the lead vocalist for the Canadian emocore band Silverstein from Burlington, Ontario. He provides both singing vocals and screaming vocals, as well as being a primary songwriter and lyricist for the band.

Shane Told is 25 years old and was born in Scarborough, Ontario and raised in Oakville, Ontario. At an early age Shane found love for rock music. At age 10, he snuck in his older sisters room to listen to her stereo. The band he heard was Metallica, and it changed his life. He almost immediately started playing electric guitar. Throughout high school he played guitar and sang in a punk band called Jerk Circus whose other members have gone on to be in bands such as, A Wilhelm Scream and Boys Night Out. He provides a vocal range from melodic singing to belch sweltering nun screams.

He also has a side project record label entitled Verona Recordswhich showcases bands from his hometown and area. There are currently three bands on the label all with full length albums out. These three bands are, Dead & Divine, Dear Jane I... and The Stickup.

• Shane currently lives in Oakville, ON. He has an older sister named Rina, and parents Joyce and Hando.

• Shane is Vegan, and has been vegetarian since he was 18. His favorite foods include Italian, Thai, Japanese and Mediterranean.
