Born in Armagh (Northern Ireland), Plays for [Armagh City Football Club] in the Northern Irish Premier League.

Shane is know for his hard hitting tackling and crossing ability. Shane is a fan favourite at Holm Park and has had two spells at the County Armagh Club. He was a member of the Armagh City FC promotion team of 2004/2005 which gained Premier League status.

In the summer of 2006 Shane left Armagh on a Free Transfer to join Monaghan United in the Irish League. This was to be a brief spell as he would return to Armagh in the 2007 January transfer window. Many City fans were said to be over the moon stating that "the butcher has returned".

One of Shanes biggest fans in Caolan 'Houly' Houlihan who has said to be overjoyed by the chance to see Shane back in the Black and Blue of City.
