Shane Brooks

Shane Brooks is an Australian computer scientist.

He demonstrated that Windows 98, Windows 98 SE and Windows Me can run without Internet Explorer and several other components of the operating system. He made programs such as 98lite and 98EOS, which has the ability to remove Internet Explorer and many others components from Windows 98/98SE/ME.

Brooks is also author of 2000lite and XPlite, programs made for a Windows 2000 and Windows XP operating systems with the same purpose.
