A news report featuring Shane[1] claimed that seeing his name on paper brings him joy, an important step towards recovery.

[edit] Record

Shane will be unable to officially break the Guinness World Record held by Craig Shergold. After a successful surgery and recovery, former cancer patient Craig continued to receive millions of cards yearly. Unable to stop the constant flow of mail his family was forced to move. Guiness discontinued the world record category in order to help prevent such problems from occurring in the future. As of 1992 permanent world record according to Guinness World Records, held by Craig, is about 33 million cards. Craig has reportedly received over 200 million cards as of 2007.[2]
