Shams Pahlavi

Known by her title HIH Princess Shams Pahlavi or Shahdokht Shams ul-Mulk Pahlavi (born Tehran, October 18, 1917 - died Santa Barbara, California, February 29, 1996). She was the elder sister of the former Shah of Iran, Muhammad Reza Shah Pahlavi. During the reign of the Pahlavi's, she was the president of the Red Lion and Sun Society.
She was deprived of her ranks and titles after her second marriage, and lived abroad 1945-1947. She converted to Roman Catholicism in the 1940s.
