Shamita Shetty (born 2 February 1979) is an Indian actress. She is the younger sister of Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty.

She made her debut with the 2000 blockbuster Mohabbatein.

She is best known for her item numbers, such as "Sharara" in Mere Yaar Ki Shaadi Hai (2001) and "Chori Pe Chori" in Saathiya (2002). However, she has also appeared as an actress in such films as Wajahh: A Reason to Kill and Bewafaa. Shamita was recently in the news when pictures of her without underwear during an appearance at an event in Mumbai turned up on the internet.[1] She is known for her busty, voluptuous gyrations in movies.

Shamita Shetty attended St Anthony's Girls High School in Chembur, Mumbai. She graduated from Sydenhams College.[citation needed]
