Coordinates: 33°54′N, 72°14′E Shalatula is a town near the Indus river in Punjab province, Pakistan. It is close to Attock, Punjab in the vicinity of Peshawar, NWFP. The famous ancient Indian grammarian Panini was born there. Also born there was his brother, the famous mathematician Pingala.
