Shaila is a Punk Rock band from Buenos Aires, Argentina. Formed in 1994, they played for two years for the fun of it and released their first EP, titled Sólo Un Día Más (Just One More Day) in 1996.

Shaila is one of the most important bands of the genre in South America. They has played with bands such as Lagwagon, MxPx, The Ataris and NOFX. Besides Argentina, they have also played in Chile, Uruguay and Peru and are awaiting for the confirmation for a big tour all around Latinamerica with the legendary band Bad Religion.

Their first EP, "Sólo Un Día Más", was distributed in cassette format and there are only a hundred copies of it. All the 4 songs were later included in compilation album "Congelando El Tiempo" (Freeze the Time) in 2003, as well as all those from Shaila (EP). Their debut album Progresar was released in october 2000, and it's release show was the 13th September 2001, in a club in Buenos Aires called El Dorado. In an interview, years later, Joaquín stills says the show he most enjoyed ever.
