Shahriar Afshar

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Shahriar S. Afshar (in Persian: شهريار صديق افشار) is an Iranian physicist. He is known for devising and carrying out Afshar experiment. The Afshar experiment is an optical experiment, which may challenge the principle of complementarity in quantum mechanics, although there is as yet no consensus on this in physics. The result of the experiment appears to be in accordance with the standard predictions of quantum mechanics, in particular with the Englert-Greenberger duality relation.[1]
