Dr Shahid Masood was the News and Current Affairs Director and an anchorman for ARY One World.

Dr. Shahid Masood born, as Shahid Masood Khan spent his childhood in Saudi Arabia[1] , completed his F.Sc. from DJ Science College in Karachi, and subsequently attended Sindh Medical College receiving a doctorate degree in medicine. He started his career as a surgeon, before becoming a political commentator and analyst.[1] test.

Dr. Shahid is famous in Pakistan for his television show Views on News, Asia's longest running current affairs TV show[1], and his documentary The Hidden Truth, in which he talked in detail about the end of days in light of Christian, Jewish and mostly Muslim beliefs[2]. This documentary was initially aired on ARYOneWorld TV channel but was later made available on CD-Rom and DVD in response to public demand.[citation needed] He joined GEO News in January 2007. In the program of March 17,2007, he detailed the facts about changing his job from ARY to GEO. He told that he was expelled from ARY due to the orders of some high personality in Pakistan government. Views on News carries interviews with prominent people from politics, civil life, literature and culture. Politicians who have been interviewed on Views on News include President General Pervez Musharraf, Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz, former Prime Ministers Benazir Bhutto and Mir Zafarullah Khan Jamali, MQM leader Altaf Hussain, PML-N leader Shahbaz Sharif, General (retd) A. A. K. Niazi (of East Pakistan fame), former CIA Director James Woolsey, and former ISI chiefs. Writers who have appeared on the show include Ahmed Faraz,Dr.Israr Ahmad, the late Ashfaq Ahmed, Ahmed Nadeem Qasmi, and Munnoo Bhai.[citation needed]

Dr Shahid Masood joined GEO TV[3]. His new show is "Meray Mutabiq" which is an Urdu word meaning "According to my opinion".
Dr. Masood came into the spotlight with his programme Views on News and was greatly appreciated for his documentary "The Hidden Truth", recently In Lebanon 2006 he again took the spotlight when he became the first South Asian journalist to cover the events unfolding in Middle East by going to Lebanon. He was the first south Asian journalist who went to Lebanon during conflict. He managed to interview the leader of Hamas "Khalid Mashal" and some activists in Syria. No other non-Arab journalist has been granted similar access.[citation needed]
