Shaheed Sukhdev College of Business Studies (CBS)

Started in 1987, CBS as it is fondly known by students and faculty alike is the only college in the University of Delhi offering undergraduate professional courses in Management, Investments and Computer Science.

It is located in the Vivek Vihar locality of East Delhi. The complete address being:

Over the period of almost two decades CBS has emerged as an island of academic excellence. Today it boasts of a very good infrastructure, excellent computer labs, well-maintained library and conference room and above all, the finest teachers and professors of proven record.

The college had a very selective admission process that includes a standardized exam testing math, verbal and analytical skills followed by a group discussion and an interview. 80 students are selected in the general category among tens of thousands of applicants. The school was awarded the "Best undergraduate degree" award by the Commonwealth nations. Recruiters include several reputed colsulting firms, banks, real estate firms etc. Some recruiters - McKinsey, A.T. Kearney, Hewitt Associates, HSBC, JLL

At CBS, the emphasis is on problem solving in the real business environment by the way of summer training, case studies, simulations and projects. Experts from various industries are invited on a regular basis in order to upgrade students’ knowledge and to provide an insight into the actual requirements of the industry.
