Shahdara is a region in East Delhi, close to the border with Uttar Pradesh. It has one of the oldest markets in Delhi, and its chota bazaar is the second oldest market in Delhi[citation needed], next only to Chandni Chowk, dating to 16th century. Old name of Shahdara is Chandrawali village. Shahdara is also the starting point of the Shahdara - Rithala Line of the Delhi Metro.
