Lower Shabele (Somali: Shabeellaha Hoose; Arabic: شبيلي السفلىShabaylī as-Suflá) is an administrative region (gobolka) in southern Somalia. Until 1984, when the regions were reshaped, it was part of the larger Benadir region and its capital was Mogadishu, but is now Marka.

Shabeellaha Hoose is bordered by the Somali regions of Banaadir, Middle Shabele, Hiiraan, Bay and Middle Juba and the Indian Ocean. After Mogadishu, this is thought to be the region with the most population in Somalia.

It is named after the river Shabeelle that passes in that region.
