[edit] Student Body

SHAPE American High School is unique in that its enrollment of 500+ students reflects 33%+ international participation. This happens because of the many nations represented at SHAPE, which is a NATO military installation. During any given school year there may be more than 23 nationalities and fifteen languages represented at SHAPE American High School. With this makeup, the students and faculty are exposed to a multicultural polyglot environment that provides them with special challenges and opportunities. As a result, its students tend to be culturally knowledgeable. Although an equal number of languages can be heard throughout the corridors, English is the basic language of instruction.
