[edit] Thanks Ganesh
Hi Ganesh,
Thanks for the Award, I take this as a complement. Encouraging and Yes I'll create more articles on directors and Telugu cine celebrities.
(I don't know whether an user can award another user. But I think only administrator has the rights to award an user, i'm not sure.)

[edit] Note
When you make a tamil film article. Please don't make it like Mahanadhi, use the template provided in all other articles eg. Kuruthipunal, Arinthum Ariyamalum. Don't spoil the pattern. Prin S 18:15, 1 June 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Your msg. on my talkpage, miscellany and India related links
Hi Ganesh, with reference to your message on my talkpage, may I suggest that you be bold and do the honours yourself? Since the website is your own, I suggest that you put a notice reading that all the content on the page (and on the entire website, if you want to) is released under GFDL. The note can read something like "All text on this webpage/website is available under the terms of the GNU Free Documentation License." However, I believe you realise that while GFDL licensed stuff can be used freely on WP (with attribution), there is no guarantee that it would be retained in the same way, as people are free to edit and make changes to WP. You may also want to have a look at Wikipedia:Confirmation of permission. I had a book on the making of Sankarabharanam by Vamsi (director of April okati vidudala, Avunu vaalliddaru ishtapaddaru etc.) who was the asst director of the film. However, I misplaced the book. I'll probly edit the article and add lot of facts and trivia once I find it. btw, when you post a msg. on a talkpage for a new topic, please use the "+" button next to the edit this page button. This automatically places the message at the bottom of the talkpage - new msgs. should be at the bottom, not at the top. Also, pl. use edit summaries and Show preview button more often. I have seen that you've created an WP:RfA page for your adminship candidature - typically most editors expect people to have experience of around 6 months on the WP before applying for adminship - so, you may want to keep it in mind. I'm also enclosing links for Wikipedians working in India related articles. All the best, --Gurubrahma 14:40, 19 June 2006 (UTC)

- I am sorry, if you do not release the content under GFDL, it would tantamount to copyright violation and would be subject to deletion. Not only me, even Jimbo Wales cannot change this policy - GFDL is like holy grail. As an admin, I only execute policy, not formulate it. You may want to see WP:ADMIN to understand the privileges and obligations of administrators. --Gurubrahma 12:56, 20 June 2006 (UTC)
- Checked it, reads sorta ok, but is still a copyvio, since you have not put a GFDL notice on your site yet and hence it could be reverted/removed anytime. --Gurubrahma 13:13, 20 June 2006 (UTC)
- Hi Ganesh, the plot looks good. Great work!! If you have the time and inclination, it wd be better to add the link to your web page GFDL licensing statement on all the talkpages of the articles in which you have copy-pasted material. Alternately, you may want to read Wikipedia:Confirmation of permission and drop a mail to the given id so that your site is entered into their list of GFDL sites. --Gurubrahma 17:04, 20 June 2006 (UTC)
- With ref to your latest msg., I dunno how you can give permission to Wikipedia alone as once something is released under GFDL, anyone is free to use the material subject to the license conditions. Your interest in adding link to your website may be interpreted by some as an attempt to increase the visibility of your site on the web since WP is the 16th most popular website. Hence, they may be removed by some editors; another ground for removing them is that links are typically frowned upon where content can be added. Also, typically, unofficial websites are regularly removed from WP articles on actors/actresses. So, in short, "try your luck but don't contest it if someone removes them" would be my advice as an experienced user here. --Gurubrahma 18:12, 21 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Annamayya
Hi Ganesh, I found the review enjoyable. However, don't be concerned about how I feel about your reviews. There are a million registered users and there may be million opinions on each thing. As long as you keep doing what you believe is right, there is no issue. Do follow the WP policies and procedures as listed in the links in the previous posts. All the best!! --Gurubrahma 15:51, 24 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Bhagyaraj
Hi there SGaneshkumar. Just a few issues I would like to raise about our work on the Bhagyaraj article. I would like to illustrate some thorny sentences from there:
"But flops like Njana Pazham and Vaettiya Madichi Kattu(1997) forced him to retire.Six years later;he made a film Sokka Thangam;which too had bombed miserably." Note: The usage of language here seems subjective and somewhat scathing, which according to the WikiBiography guidelines is not really neutral. For example, instead of the phrase "bombed miserably" we could couched it in more neutral or objective language.
"But he made a big comeback with Parijatham;his first hit since 1996." Note: "A big comeback" is somewhat subjective. It's hard to measure it without statistics that show significant sales, for example. Such evidence is good to have to justify factual statements. In short, its good to be neutral, to-the-point, and objective as possible.
Hope this discussion will help us improve this article further. All the best and keep up the editing in Wikipedia. Samson101 14:25, 1 November 2006 (UTC)

Please note that advertising article nominations on individual user pages is against the rules of ARCAID (see the ARCAID talk page). Thanks. Dekimasu 11:26, 20 November 2006 (UTC)
[edit] RfA
Re Wikipedia:Requests for adminship/Sganeshkumar 1989, please format it properly before adding it to Wikipedia:Requests for adminship. Currently, two of the questions are not answered, there are some stray lines at the top and is dated May 2006. If submitted without cleaning it up, it is certain to attract plenty of oppose votes. Tintin (talk) 10:21, 14 December 2006 (UTC)
- Having looked at your edits, I would advise you to edit for a month or two before going for an RfA. There are not many edits in the article or project space. People usually expect a total atleast 2,000 edits before supporting a candidate. Tintin (talk) 10:26, 14 December 2006 (UTC)
