[edit] Proposed Rules for Three Lead Candidates

Each "time step" will be 7-14 days.

  • (i) Anyone who wishes create a lead section proposal (the genesis of this already exists)
  • (ii) Voting opened up on all lead proposals (commenting allowed).
  • (iii) The proposal with the least number of votes is dropped, and those still in the process can submit revised proposals (based on comments from previous round). Back to stage ii.

If there is a tie then the two authors have the option of working together on a lead (which both must agree on), else the two drop out. If the tie is for 3rd spot then a separate majority vote will be taken on the tied proposals to decide which one will proceed.


[edit] Proposed Rules for the Main Vote

Voting opened for a period of sensible length, 2 weeks+. If one proposal gains more than 50% of the total vote then it wins - else the proposal with the least number of votes drops out and the vote is retaken, with a majority winning, except when it is a matter of a few (<10) votes in it.
