Sex show
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
A sex show is a form of pornographic performance in which the customers pay to see live persons appearing in the nude and often performing some type of sexual activity.
The format of a sex show is often controlled by local law and licensing restrictions. In many parts of the US a club cannot serve alcohol if the performers are completely nude.
[edit] Peep show
A sex show whose performers work behind a barrier is called a peep show. Each member of the audience has his own window or peephole, usually from within a private cubicle, thus permitting the customer to masturbate. Visibility through the window or peephole is often restricted by a coin-operated timer mechanism.
"What the Butler Saw" machines operated on the same principle but showed short movies; they were also called peep shows.
The Lusty Lady peep show in San Francisco entered the news in 1997 when it became the first U.S. sex business to become unionized. In 2003 it was bought by the strippers and became a worker cooperative.
