Talk:Seven deadly sins in popular culture

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

I think we really need to set up some known standards for contibuting to this article. While speculations shouldn't be placed here, some valid examples were unfairly deleted. The webcomic link and discussion for Jack was deleted even though the Seven Deadly Sins play a very important part of the comic. Also, while there was a lot of speculation in it, the discussion about Omi being an example of Pride was valid. I should know, as I have seen most of the episodes of Xiaolin Showdownand that same information is even written on the main article about him. I also believe it was unfair for the information about One Piece was deleted as anyone with any common sense and even a limited knowledge about the seven sins knows that at least the five characters mentioned DO resemble those very sins in their daily actions and personalities in the comic.

Anyone care to discuss this problem. While it's necessary to have valid examples, it's not necessay that EVERY sin HAS to be listed at point blank; sudtle things like personalities and actions are important too....

I think it should be mentioned if officially stated by the show creators or main to the plot like Fullmetal Alchemist, no subtle or small resemblance should be included because then almost all fictional character could be included. Chipphaha 16:15, 30 July 2006 (UTC)
Why is it that Full Metal Alchemist is mentioned twice in two different sections? Could people stop being so dense!? Smith Jones 02:25, 20 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Speculation

The source this article refers to when stating that the C.S Lewis Narnia series books refer to specific sins is merely one scholars opinion; it should state that is believed that the books correspond to individual sins. --Youcanttaketheskyfromme 13:20, 7 March 2007 (UTC)
