  • Daemon: Digimon 02 43-45
  • Beelzemon: Digimon Tamers 2nd half
  • Lucemon: Digimon Frontier 47-49—The preceding unsigned comment was added by Fractyl (talkcontribs).

Personally I think several of these types of articles should be merged or possibly deleted. Others include Four Great Dragon Digimon, Olympus Twelve, Digimon Sovereigns, and Celestial Digimon.

Lesser, but still somewhat needless articles for groups (could be merged to their respective main articles): Ancient Warriors, Legendary Warriors. -- Ned Scott 21:09, 29 March 2006 (UTC)

There are actually two articles by this title, but with different pictures and format. They should be merged.

Where's the second one? --`/aksha 11:57, 4 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Link and Images

The information for some of the Demon lords, such as Daemon, Belphemon, and Beelzemon, is located mostly in other articles. Could we add links to those sections on this page?

Also, since being merged, I find no image of cloaked Daemon on Wikipedia. Can anyone help? If you don't want it here, add it to Daemon's minor 02 characters page. Bellahdoll 19:10, 5 February 2007 (UTC)Bellahdoll

I've added cloaked Deamon's picture to the Digimon Adventure 02 page. Infinitydramon 21:52, 5 February 2007

No, actually, all the information for the demon lords is here. THe point is - the demon lords is a TCG group and the group has only appeared in the digimon video games. The Beelzemon in digimon tamers wasn't a demon lord, it was just impmon's mega form. (it's sort of like how the agumon in digimon adventure and the agumon in digimon savers are both "agumon", but they're not the same character). Similarly, the beelzemon here and the beelzemon in digimon tamers isn't the same character.
As for links, i didn't feel we needed disambiguation links because pages didn't redirect here. So Beelzemon redirects to impmon, hence there's a disambiguation link on the impmon page and not here. But i suppose there's no harm in adding one.

I thought I read somewhere that every Beelzemon, every Daemon, every Barbamon, etc. are always considered Great Demon Lords even if they have no affiliation with other members of said group. The same goes for other group, like Royal Knights and Olympian Gods. The grouping, I thoguht, is more of a title held by that Digimon, and it doesn't really mean anything. Here, I use the same reasoning as I did on the Royal Knights article. Bellahdoll 22:05, 4 March 2007 (UTC)Bellahdoll

No, it's not. Because the titles are held by individual digimon, not by entire digimon species. In the context of some digimon series, some digimon are unique. For example, kimeramon is a plot element in digimon adventure 02, and in the context of digimon adventure 02, kimeramon is just a single unique character. But when you look at the whole digimon franchise, kimeramon is a species, not a single individual.
Similarly, the gallantmon in Digimon Tamers is not a royal knight. This is the same reason why it would be illogical to come to the conclusion that the gallantmon in digimon savers was also created by a drawing and not a digi-egg, as gallantmon (from guilmon) is in digimon tamers. --`/aksha 11:24, 5 March 2007 (UTC)

That's fine; I just thought I read it on Shining Celebi's site over a year ago; perhaps that was just a list of the members. I just saw it as more of a type- e.g. all Agumon are considered reptile Digimon. Irregardless, that isn't very important anyway. The only thing I'm considering, as far as changes go, are having links to the other articles with information on another instance of a character that has its name in the 7GDL. In most people's mind, I'm sure they see this article as just a summarrized version of the other character's article, so a link to tho other article may be helpful. Bellahdoll 18:00, 5 March 2007 (UTC)Bellahdoll

There will be. Once all our lists are complete. If you go to the Veemon article now, and scroll down to chibomon, you'll see the word "chibomon" is linked to a list of fresh digimon, where the appearance of other chibomon in other digimon media is described. We're planning to do this for all digimon. --`/aksha 12:00, 6 March 2007 (UTC)

So when all the updates are complete, this page and all other Digimon articles will link to the larger article/section of each character? This would be done by making the character's name, like Beelzemon, a hyperlink to the other article section, which lists all appearances? Also, when do you estimate that these updated pages will be available for all Digimon?Bellahdoll 17:55, 6 March 2007 (UTC)Bellahdoll

Yes, that's what would happen. No idea when it will happen. I've been pretty busy lately, and i'm trying to focus my wikipedia time into getting the articles for the main digimon characters all done. I know a few other editors have been working on the list of articles. If you're interested in helping, take a look at Wikipedia:WikiProject Digimon/Article reorganization. --`/aksha 08:16, 7 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Malomyotismon

It says his type is demon lord but he isn't listed here.

MaloMyotismon, Murmuxmon, Ghoulmon (both versions), Belphemon Sleep Mode, Beelzemon Blast Mode, and the "Super Ultimate" Daemon (from V-Tamer) are all Demon Lords but are not part of the Seven Great Demon Lords group. Nightmare SE 20:41, 6 February 2007 (UTC)
Exactly how did we know who the 7 demon lords are then? --`/aksha 02:21, 7 February 2007 (UTC)
Cards I believe. Nightmare SE 10:22, 7 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] are you sure that the sins are with the correct digimon?

for xample leviamon has the sin of gluttony and he should have the sin of envy becuase leviathan is based in the sin of envy..... —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Envidia (talkcontribs) 23:51, 27 February 2007 (UTC).

I have no idea who's sin is who. In fact, i have no idea where this "one demon lord for one sin" business comes for, and if anyone can provide a reliable source for it, it would be wonderful. I've reverted edits to the sins before because we've been having people editing them back and forth, and often doing it inconsistantly. As i said, i don't know which demon lord is one sin, but when the top of the article says one thing and three sections later, the article is saying another, i know something is wrong.
If you're 100% sure, then go edit the article. But if you know a source for this, please provide it. --`/aksha 11:22, 5 March 2007 (UTC)

I remember Shining Evolution said what the sins were, and I think I remember the site saying it got them from a japanese message information site or something. I would ask him, though. The correct order, according to the site, and the one that fits actual demonology myths is:

Beelzebub - Gluttony Lilith - Lust Satan ( Daemon) - Wrath Leviathan - Envy (Leviathan is always the main demon of envy) Barbatos - Greed Lucifer - Pride Belphegor - Sloth (this is also obvious, and Belphegor is supposedly the demon of invention, too)

These actually all seem to be presented in the show, too - Beelzemon is constantly devouring other digimon, Barbamon wants to take all the Digimemories, Lucemon wants to remake the world in his vain image, Belphemon is sleeping, etc.

[edit] Attacks from Digimon World DS

Now I'n not that familiar with Digimon World DS but those attacks look like they belong to other Digimon, in Digimon World 2 enemy Digimon would use other mon attacks as well as their own, since each mon only had one unique attack. Now if we look at these attacks I can point out that most of them do belong to other mon:

Barbamon - Hypnosis (?), Lightning Javelin (MegaSeadramon), Crimson Flame (Phoenixmon)

Beelzemon - Data Crusher (Datamon), Evil Blaster (?)

Belphemon Rage Mode - Pandemonium (MaloMyotismon), Armaggedon (?), Devil's Blow (?)

Leviamon - Mega Tsunami (?), Eternal Abyss (?), Cursed Breath (?)

Lilithmon - Dark Charm (Possibly Bakemon), Touch of Evil (Devimon), Emperess Haze (Babamon), Spiral Flower (Blossomon), Dark Blast (WaruSeadramon).

Lucemon CM - Lightning Spear (Cherubimon/MegaSeadramon)

We should just remove them and add them to their Digimon World DS sections. Nightmare SE 13:25, 26 March 2007 (UTC)
