Severo Ornstein

Severo M. Ornstein is a computer scientist. He reviewed BBN's original Request for Proposal for the ARPANET, and continued at BBN in the hardware development of IMPS. Before his work at BBN, he was at MIT's Lincoln Laboratory. While working at Xerox PARC, he was instrumental in starting Computer Professionals for Social Responsibility (CPSR). He wrote an autobiography on his experience in computer science, "Computing in the Middle Ages: A View from the Trenches 1955-1983"
