[edit] Biography

Severed Hand has been a prominent act in the New Jersey Heavy Metal scene since 2000. The band features offspring of three of New Jersey's most important and influential staples of the music industry - Sebastian Bach, Bob Burger and Paul Christian Sr.. Severed Hand has made a considerable impact worldwide with their debut album selling a notable amount in Germany and receiving rave reviews in Heavy Magazine - one of Germany's biggest heavy metal magazines. The band's drummer has also gained notable attention from Japanese music forums, due to his being the son of a famous vocalist. Paris's mother allegedly spent some time working at a strip club in Canada as a dancer.

In 2006, the band parted with lead vocalist Walter Figueroa after a fight between Christian and the singer when their bus, which Figueroa provided for the band's U.S. tour, broke down in Texas. The band blamed Figueroa for the mishap and since then, guitarist and original vocalist David Keelan has resumed vocal duties.

A strange, mysterious man by the name of "Kevin B." once auditioned for the role of lead singer, claiming he was the son of Gaahl(lead singer of Gorgoroth), which delighted the band. However, his audition--a cover of Celine Dion's "Tellement J'ai d'Amour Pour Toi"--proved his vocal abilites to be more akin to Biz Markie than his apparent man-eating "father".
