The 17th National Congress of the Communist Party of China will be held in Beijing, China, at the Great Hall of the People in November 2007.

The Communist Party, the ruling party of the People's Republic of China, will likely see a change in direction that will see the influence of former President Jiang Zemin's Shanghai Clique completely fade away. Jiang's staunch ally and Vice-Premier Huang Ju is expected to retire, while newer cadres such as Bo Xilai and Li Keqiang is expected to gain seats on the new Politburo Standing Committee.
